How to Stick to Your Goals

This is a great article...perfect for the New Year!

Ever get tired of setting goals, and then abandoning them shortly after? Well here are a few tips to help you stay on track.

1. Choosing your goal :

Most people think that when they choose a goal the sky is the limit, or more often than not make goals that are hard to attain; whether it be in length or difficulty. Keep that in mind when thinking of what you would like as your goal.

2. Breaking it down, and setting the pace :

Once you have figured out what your goal is, write it down in your notebook.

Now, think about what you need to do on the way to your goal. These hurdles will be your goals for now, and will eventually lead up to your main goal. One "hurdle" per week until you get to your main goal is a good pace to start.

3. Putting it into action :

People like results, and if you aren't seeing many, then people often give up. This is why breaking a large goal into many small ones will feel like you are making fast progress, and will keep you on track! Make sure to update your notebook every week.
